On January 18, with the organizational support of the State Tourism Agency, the president of the World Association of Chefs' Societies ("Worldchefs") Thomas Gugler visited the Shusha city.
The purpose of organizing the trip is to familiarize the guest with the historical places of Shusha, the mysterious nature, as well as the cuisine of Karabakh.
Thomas Gugler met with Tural Novruzov, theDeputy Executive Director, Acting Executive Director of the Shusha City State Reserve, within the framework of the visit.
The president of "Worldchefs" was introduced to "Bulleted statues", Shusha castle, Bulbul's house-museum and Jidir Duzu.
He was shown the preparation of "Boyanali ash" belonging to Karabakh cuisine and "Shah plov", which is considered the king of our national cuisine. Thomas Gugler, inspired by the city of Shusha, prepared a new dish with a creative recipe and called it "Shushali".
It should be noted that Thomas Gugler, the president of the World Association of Chefs' Societies ("Worldchefs") visited Azerbaijan at the invitation of the State Tourism Agency. The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cooperation with Azerbaijan in the direction of improving the culinary standards of global cuisines, to discuss the development of gastro tourism in our country.
He participated in the discussions of the conference on "Promotion prospects of Azerbaijan cuisine" organized by the State Tourism Agency on January 17 within the framework of the visit.
